Chef Richard Norwood graduated from George Brown College, then began his practical apprenticeship at the 5-star Constellation Hotel in Toronto. Richard has traveled and worked across Canada, throughout Europe and Asia. After 4 years as Chef d’Cuisine at Harrison Hot Springs Resort he became the Executive Chef of the Boat Basin Restaurant in Ucluelet. In 2009 it was finally time to fulfill his life-long dream of opening his own restaurant.

“Wow. This restaurant compares favorably to some of the best restaurants I’ve been to in the big cities . . . Seattle, San Fran, L.A., Las Vegas, etc. In fact, it’s a place that I would put in my top 5 restaurants of all time. It’s THAT good. What makes it even better though, in my opinion, is that it’s located in little ole Ucluelet. Who woulda thought?”
