Our Broken Group Islands Wildlife Cruise departs from the Canadian Princess Lodge & Marina in Ucluelet.
As we cruise down Ucluelet inlet
you’ll learn some of the history
and meet some of the local residents!
we usually see California sea lions,
and we always see Bald eagles.
Upon leaving Ucluelet Inlet,
We have a pair of binoculars for each guest
which allows to "get closer"
as we look for whales and other wildlife.
Most commonly we see Gray whales
and on rare occasion we may be lucky enough to see Killer whales.
We usually see Steller sea lions
and California sea lions,
and most days we are able to spot sea otters.
On our Broken Group Islands Wildlife Cruise we continue through the narrow channels
and the sheltered waters of the Broken Group Islands
which are part of Pacific Rim National Park reserve.
At lunch time we pick a sheltered spot to anchor,
we set up tables and chairs on the upper deck,
and on the lower deck and bow.
You will be served a gourmet meal,
a choice of three menu options,
prepared by a local restaurant (Heartwood Kitchen Food Outfitters)
and served to you in individual picnic baskets.
There is also the option of bringing your own meal if you prefer.
After lunch we pick up the anchor
and continue on our scenic journey
through the Broken Group Islands
