The only one missing is you!!

The boys are leaving town

The “boys club” has thinned out considerably in recent days.  Only a few California sea lions remain as most have left the area and headed south to meet up with their ladies. Luckily they don’t stay away for long, so we eagerly await their return in late summer.

Calm despite strong winds

Luckily we were unperturbed by yesterday’s strong winds. We chose a sheltered route that kept us mostly out of the wind, found an incredibly beautiful place to anchor for lunch and had some good animal sightings along the way!

Spring in the Broken Group Islands

Spring is a beautiful time of year in the Broken Group Islands when the colours are vibrant, the water so clear that it gets hard to tell where the water and air meet.

Our Picturesque New Location

We love our new location at the Canadian Princess Lodge & Marina, located at 1943 Peninsula Rd.

Under The Watchful Eye of Sea Otters

This year we have been seeing sea otters almost every day.  Sometimes we wonder whether it is them who entertain us or vice versa!

Everyone has to give their feet a good cleaning once in a while – especially when they are this big!

The Most Scenic Restaurant in the World!

Two of our guests, Sophie & Christoph, enjoying the delicious gourmet meal (prepared by Norwoods Restaurant) while anchored in a sheltered cove in the Broken Islands. What more could a person want?

Surviving a Heat Wave

Today was warm, very warm. In fact it was so warm that this Black bear decided to take a swim! He came towards us, marched right into the water, wallowed around for a bit. Then he walked out, shook himself off and carried on with his day!

Lazy Days

Sometimes I feel like that too at the end of a busy day!

Frequent Sea Otter Sightings

This year we have been seeing sea otters increasingly often, almost daily.  Here is toda’s friendly sea otter!
