A Cruise of a Different Nature

Alan & Toddy Landry

As you hosts and tour guides, Alan and Toddy Landry, invite you to spend some time with them on their boat, the “Raincoast Maiden”, which is also their home.

Alan is a seasoned mariner who has spent more than 30 years fishing commercially all over the West Coast. As someone who has always had a keen interest in history, he will be happy to share his knowledge of the area with you.

Toddy left South Africa to travel the world, then as of 1995 found herself married to Alan and fishing shrimp in and around Barkley Sound. With a post graduate degree in marine biology and a long term love for the ocean, the transition to life at sea was an easy one.

Although Alan and Toddy enjoyed their years in the fishing business, they discovered that cruising with family and friends, showing off the beauty and wildlife of Barkley Sound, was their favourite experience. This lead to their decision to become full time guides. As your hosts they offer decades of experience, and their long love affair with the area.

Both Alan and Toddy are masters certified by Transport Canada to operate a passenger vessel.
